Beware the Veggie Sammich! Open Thread

Dennis Kucinich lost a tooth today while eating a vegetable sandwich and although he gets 100% free dental care courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer, he's decided to sue for $150,000 over it.

    You read correct, it happened almost 3 years ago, but he just filed the lawsuit this year:

    According to Fox News, (They're talking about it this morning) the same day he busted his tooth, he later went on Neil Cavuto's show - so how bad could it have been?
    I have a cap on one of my molars. One day last summer, it disintegrated while I ate some corn chips. I have no dental coverage and now the stump of a half tooth is completely infected and has been for months. I need surgery to fix it but I can't get it. Am I suing frito-lay? No. I deal with it. (Lots of anbesol, and I pack it with tea bags when it gets really bad to calm the infection.)
    Kucinich HAS FREE DENTAL that WE pay for! This lawsuit isn't to cover a 'need', it's to cover his GREED.
    If I ran a food establishment, he'd be blacklisted from getting anything due to his frivolous lawsuit.

    I am truly sorry to hear of your dental issue; I`ve been more than there ! From first hand experience I must say, get that treated asap for your future health`s sake ! FIND A WAY !! (Okay, I`m done fussin`)

    This whole Kucinich deal is as you say about greed; and a dash of self importance ! With his Cadillac Taxpayer-Funded Comprehensive Health Care plan, there is NO EXCUSE for not being in good shape at this point ! If he can`t smile, eat and otherwise enjoy life, it certainly is no fault of any cafeteria !

    You could likely find as many volunteers to help him with that as were available to help Alec Baldwin pack to leave the country after GWB was elected !

    That may be outside Moonchelle`s "volunteerism box" !

    There`s an update story at The Blaze that gives more details. It seems Dennis Kusammich suffered 6 "injured" teeth, 3 failed surgeries, etc. and had to pay for his "Mis"(?)Treatment out of pocket. His inshoranse didn`t cover it !

    Now the British owned cafeteria has settled with him out of court for an undisclosed amount of money .

    Kusammichgate indeed !

    I saw that he'd settled, but didn't know the full extent of the 'injury'. I'd venture a guess that for all of that damage to have happened, his teef were probably pretty jacked up in the first place. I have bad teeth but I know from back when I had dental care, that healthy teeth can actually hold up to a lot of abuse. Good teeth would not have all busted up like that, I think, not just from one bite of a poorly made sammich.

    I heard this story on the radio today but missed the name, naturally I thought it occurred yesterday.....It seemed odd to me (lacking the devious gene) that someone could calculate "a lifetime of pain and suffering" so quickly ! It`s making more sense to me now ! Perhaps he`s seeking far more than he actually anticipates being awarded in court !

    Did I just defend the man, eeeew, that left a bad taste in my mouth ! I need mouthwash !
