A Place of My Own

I am the proud new owner of my very own domain and website, MareZilla.com! I have so many different online projects that it gets hard to keep track of it all, I'm hoping to use MareZilla.com as a way to house them all in one convenient, easy to use place. I've never done any sort of web design, so it is a work in progress and I am learning as I go along. Ideally, I'll be able to import my blogs there - if I can figure out how.

If anyone with experience in this sort of thing has any helpful hints, please share them with me. i'll keep you posted on it's progress.

Thank you all for your encouragement and support.

  2. Wow, there must be 36 hr days and 9 day weeks on your planet !!? I used to think my weeks only lasted for 5 days, or there were 2 Mondays or something !

Good luck with your very own website ! Surely there`s a "Websites For Dummies" book, there`s one for everything else ! Have fun ! And as Lawrence Welk used to say, "Keep a smile on your face and a sonk in your hard !" He was from somewhere else, afterall !

  3. I don't think I can move my blogs there, but I CAN give them MareZilla.com URLs and then put links to them from the homepage there.
I got the domain & website for free by switching to cable for my internet. I love free stuff and try to make the most of them. I'm building an empire without spending any money. ;)
Thanks for the support and encouragement, SPG!

  4. Woohoo! If you look in the address bar above, you can see that this blog is now a part of the MareZilla.com network! All it took was a lot of head scratching and a few calls to tech support to translate jargon to American!

  5. Zilla, I can't tell you how to migrate your blogs. I hired someone to do mine. He is very reasonable, and it would never have gotten done had I relied on myself. Over 4,000 posts with hyperlinks still active - it was wonderful. He was well worth the money.

You can find him at JeremySarber.com if you want help and don't have someone in mind. I trust him implicitly.

  6. Hi Maggie! I've got my blogs on the new domain and links to them on the main bare bones website, so that's good enough for now. I'm building my empire with stuff I can find for free until my financial situation improves. I've got the blogroll mostly put back together & that appears to be the only thing lost. When I have the money to do something better, I'll definitely keep your recommendation in mind. Thank you so much for the tip!
