The Guardians of Liberty encourage everyone who is able to go to Washington, D.C. as part of an organized and consistent movement to keep the pressure on our elected officials to do right by the people who they are supposed to serve and who pay their salaries. From their website, The Strategy page provides further information about what you can do and how to do it. GoL will provide you with:
- Maps to representative's and senator's offices
- Handouts to help address concerns in a concise and effective manner
- Information on transportation and lodging in the area
- Information on memorials and monuments
Even if you, like me, cannot get to DC, you can support the cause by donating to the Guardians of Liberty, and telling people about them.
Founder T.L. Davis is a writer who is the author of The Constitutionalist, a booklet and fund raising tool. T.L. also has an eye opening article recently published at American Thinker about the shocking scandal surrounding Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's murder and the seriously messed up activities of the ATF in "Death in the Desert: Project Gunwalker and the ATF Cover-Up". I also highly recommend that you check out his blog, TL In Exile because he is writing about things you need to know about and he is writing about it well. Here two recent posts of his which I personally enjoyed reading and learning from:
They Had Their Chance
Contemplating The Enormous Mess We're In
Apparently, the federal government has also taken notice of T.L. and the Guardians of Liberty. Read about it in his post, Was It Something I Said (Wrote)?
Luckily, Mr. Davis does not scare easily, but I think it might be a good idea to keep him in our prayers.
One more thing: Because I am at home with young children (or as my friend SignPainterGuy calls them, the "Little Resisters") I am frequently interrupted whenever I try to write, so it's taken me most of the day to put together this post. While I've been working on this, American Thinker has published another important piece from T.L. that you all really need to see - read it HERE.
UPDATE: This post is listed in Larwyn's Linx by Doug Ross @ Journal, thanks, Doug!
