Picture of the WeekWe initially went to war in Afghanistan to rout the Taliban and Al Qaeda, the fanatical islamorageboys who were responsible for the slaughter of 3000 innocent people on our own soil nearly ten years ago on September 11, 2001. We are still there, no longer to fight the enemy though, we're now there to help them (even though they hate us, want to kill us, have killed us and will kill us again at every opportunity).
If we should respect the Quran because not doing so causes Muslims to get angry and kill, then here are the other things we should stop doing:
Educating women. Selling alcohol. Pre-marital sex. Sharing a
non-Muslim religious faith. Democracy. Disaster relief. Sporting
events. Allowing women to dress as they please. Being gay. Being Hindu. Being Christian. Being Jewish. Being Buddhist. Being Sikh. Being Ahmadi. Being Sufi. Going to the wrong mosque...
Rob Miller at Big Peace elaborates:
Not to win a war, not to destroy our enemies, not even the amorphous goal of ‘fighting terrorism’, but to ‘help the Afghan people’. That’s why they say we’re there. In that short phrase can be read the entire failure thus far of the war we’ve been involved in since 9/11.Our esteemed military leader heading up our mission in Afghanistan says so, he also says we need to surrender our First Amendment right to free speech (guaranteed to us by the Constitution that this man swore to defend) in favor of sharia law to appease his islamorageboy masters.

General David Petraeus dons the garb of his islamic overlords. H/T Infidel Bloggers |
American soldiers, came to Afghanistan to make life better for Muslims. For their trouble, they were savagely slaughtered, with two treated to decapitation, a jihadist signature.
“When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield,” instructs Allah, “strike off their heads.” That is from Sura 47:4 of the Koran — or what is so preciously called “the Holy Qur’an” by Gen. David Petraeus, the U.S. commander of coalition forces in Afghanistan. To underscore the point, Sura 8:12 of this same Holy Qur’an finds Allah assuring that if Muslims would just “smite ye above their necks and smite all their fingertips off them,” it would help Him “instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers.”
You’ve got to hand it to Allah: All that smiting and instilling terror works. General Petraeus is so terrified of what rampaging Afghan Muslims might do next that he could not bring himself to utter a word of criticism for their barbarity. Instead, as he offered condolences to the victims’ families, his wrath was targeted at Terry Jones.
...
No, by no means let us be disrespectful toward the “Holy Qur’an,” which is so kindly disposed toward us. And surely, with Petraeus’s predecessor, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, having pronounced that Afghanistan is not our war, and with the Obama administration now paying tens of millions of dollars to underwrite Karzai’s peace talks with the Taliban (the enemy we were told we needed to escalate troops to repel), it is abundantly clear that our troops are in Afghanistan primarily “to help the Afghan people.”
But that raises two questions. First, why should we give a damn about the Afghan people? And second, why are we sacrificing American blood and American treasure to build an Islamist post-nation that hates America?

"Yes, by all means let us intentionally increase the number of our enemies, on a whim, to protect our rights... or something."
Yuckio,
If we don't protect our rights...or something, no one else will. Islam is nothing more than a train wreck looking for any excuse to happen. That has been it's history since Mohammad wrote the qur'an or had someone write it as he was an illiterate buffoon. If you want to see the true holy qur'an go here.

I never thought so, but kicking their asses is generally a more effective way of getting them to stop their aggression than bending over for them.
If someone says they want you dead, do you think being nice to them changes their mind?
Excellent point and I am a big fan of your blog, thanks for joining the conversation!
Hi Zilla,
Here is a quote from Boudica, Queen of the Iceni when she led a revolt against the Romans in Britain circa 60AD.
Boudica, Queen of the Iceni, circa 60 AD
I am descended from mighty men! But now I am not fighting for my kingdom and my wealth. I am fighting as an ordinary person for my lost freedom, my bruised body and my outraged daughters Consider how many of you are fighting and why. Then you will win this battle, or perish. That is what I, a woman, plan to do! Let the men live in slavery if they will.
Look where we are today. We are being beaten down by an overgrown, increasingly tyranical government and as Boudica's daughters were raped in front of her our children's futures are being raped by that same beast.

Well he's gone now, Max, and he won't be coming back. In addition to jumping on every single person who commented here, he also seriously crossed a line when he brought the drama to somebody else's blog post which had nothing to do with any of this. Defiling an innocent person's blog just because I happened to comment on that innocent person's excellent work is really inexcusable.
We're not even making enemies, they have declared themselves our enemy many times over and have been doing so for years! There ids no good reason why we should suspend our right to free speech for people who hate us anyway.
Can you think of a better reason to make enemies than to protect our rights?
That's how I see it too, SPG.
I stepped over there after I first engaged him, haven`t been back !
Well said, BrokenHalo, and thank you for saying it.
Wow. You really do love the look of your own typed words, Yoshi.
I may not have the perfect understanding of international realations that you do, but I do understand one thing....if you don't like someone's blog, don't stay in it. Seems simple enough. You are trying to make Zilla seem ignorant to anyone reading this. You haven't.
You didn't address even one sentence in Stephane's whole post. You just attacked him. That's a joke.
I think the muslims should be thrown out of the US. Plain and simple. Let them have jihad in their own countries. Oh, that's right. They like the stuff ehre better. That's why they don't go to the technical schools in their own countries. They hate us, and they take advantage of Western privileges.
I don't care if they are offended by anything. I am offended by them. And I am scared of every damn one of them. When the bombings, beheading, rapes, etc. happen, none of the non-violent muslims (if there are any) said/say anything.
The US hasn't offended them enough! Pull our miliitary out of their countries. They don't want us there anyway. Slam our borders shut. Put our military to work on our own soil protecting both of our borders and helping route out those who have any kind of visas from those countries we left. Don't buy any of their oil or other exports. The US seems to be the consumer of damn near everything those ragheads sell anyway.
No one will take away my right to free speech. Or to have a weapon. Yes punkin...I know you didn't say that. I am just throwing that in. The US schools make it so the candycoated version of islam is taught. I won't candycoat it when asked.
And I DARE anyone to try and push sharia law on me!
Agreed. I would find it almost funny if it weren't so sad and dangerous that people who feel that muslims should be held to the same standards as everyone else are deemed "islamophobes" and bigots; it seems to me that those who hold muslims to lower standards and insist they be treated completely different from everybody else are the real phobics and bigots because they are the ones practicing discrimination.
Couldn't agree more, Zilla. If burning the America flag or our presidents in effigy resulted in Americans going loco and murdering people, would that mean that anyone who did that (burned our flag or president in effigy) is responsible? Of course not. Ditto the horrific things "artists" do to Jesus and Christian imagery--if we started lopping off heads and issuing fatwas would the artist be responsible for their own murder? Of course not. Holding Muslims to lower and/or different standards because they are so "sensitive" (insane) is insulting and condescending.
Thanks, Fuzzy. The man in the video in this post doesn't physically burn the korans, he downloads and deletes them. ;) I personally do not burn Korans, because I have got better things to spend my money on, but I think equating a burnt book with sawing people's heads like so many in our leadership & media are doing is just wrong. Like if one of us went and killed a bunch of folks because we were offended by the "art" of a crucifix in a jar of urine, would it be the "artist"'s fault that we killed people or would it be our own?
I read his blog. It's very good.
Personal attacks on other conservatives never solves anything. I, as Yukio well knows, don't agree with his position on jihad, but there's not need for anyone to personally attack anyone else. Just my two cents.
