Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everybody!

The kids are sick, both with colds and my little girl started throwing up last night & woke up with a fever - but Christmas put smiles on their faces as the gloried in opening gifts sent by Santa, Mommy, Daddy, and "Aunt Jackie and uncle Jack". Special thanks to friends whose kindness enabled me to be able to give the kids a fantastic holiday: Roxan, Dana, Kim, Jack, Jackie, Keiko, Dave, Ed, Heather B., Matt, Adrienne, Anna, Edward, Ivory Girl, and Jim. May God bless you, each and every one.

I am thankful for my family and the kindness of strangers and treasured friends and the wonderful friends I have who support and encourage me. I don't think I could have gotten as far as I have with my writing if it weren't for all of you.

I would like to ask you all to pray for some very special friends of mine who are dealing with some very serious stuff right now, please lift them up in prayer:
  • Tammy Sandeen (one of my very best friends), pray for her,  her father and her children, especially little Rowan, may God grant them strength and healing (there is a widget that you can click on at the top left side of this page where you can donate to help Tammy get her children the medical care that they need).
  • Heather Davis Johnson, my childhood friend and mother of two young children - Heather is facing down a very serious health issue which I am confident she will beat, but every prayer can help make that happen.
  • Colleen Cloherty Capizzi, my best friend for life (we've been pals since we were two years old!), needs your prayers for her little girl, Isabella, who has a serious seizure disorder and spends way too much time in the hospital than any little kid should ever have to. May God grant the entire Capizzi family strength and healing and may we see a cure for epilepsy very very soon.

Please also remember our troops and persecuted Christians around the world who do not have the freedom that we enjoy to celebrate Christmas openly. May the good Lord wrap his loving protective arms around them and protect them.

Thank you all for being here at my blogs with me, for reading my words, being my friends and encouraging me to be a better writer, mother, wife and friend, it doesn't matter what materialistic things I may lack, you all have made me feel like the richest woman in the world and I love you. Merry Christmas!

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
    -Luke 2:8-14
